The Corner House Resource Centre in Southwick has a 9 seater diesel Volkswagen available for hire to community and voluntary organisations. Cost is £8.40 for up to four hours and £16.80 for above four hours. Cost does not include fuel. A charge is not made for borrowing the vehicle. The Quaker Meeting house has two rooms which may be hired together or separately. The larger room seats up to 28 people and the small room seats 12. HFT has published a booklet for advocates and other care professionals working within specialist care. Entitled The best of both voices, the guide contains a number of tools to help advocates ensure that the voice of the person with learning disabilities for whom they are advocating is heard, both by third parties and within the context of their professional relationship. Supporting Carers in Practice
A pack produced by the West Sussex Carers Network to train and inform professionals whose work brings them into contact with carers. This training resource aims to create a greater awareness of carers' issues, encourage the adoption of 'carer friendly' practice, and to encourage discussion of practice issues and the implementation of change.
