More about what we do
- ICIS provides a responsive service in the county providing access to good quality information, alongside changes within all sectors, and developments in information technology.
- ICIS works with voluntary, statutory and independent organisations to provide an easily accessible information service for people in West Sussex.
- ICIS develops tailored information resources for service providers to support people's access to information through them.
- ICIS aims to keep abreast of changes through its approach to individual people's needs and those of service providers.
- ICIS is a friendly professional service, and can provide information to people in many ways, for instance by phone, letter, fax, email, on tape, or through an interpreter.
- ICIS has received core funding through West Sussex County Council (Social and Caring Services) and Health.
ICIS is for people needing help or information for themselves or others

ICIS is for organisations providing services
ICIS helps to identify gaps in services, and facilitates access to information with, for and about statutory, voluntary and independent organisations by:
- Promoting their services and events via our database, newsletter and website
- Creating customised datasets of information for specific client groups and services
- Facilitating the sharing of information
- Working with service providers and community groups to develop ways of providing information
- Maintaining and developing an up-to-date and accessible resource of community information
ICIS works in partnership with other organisations
ICIS networks with service providers and community groups to share and develop ways of providing information. We also work closely within the health and social care sectors to support county developments and projects.
